Our Status
The Association is a non-profit, charitable organization (Charitable Registration #118981935RR0001). It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and operated by a handful of dedicated employees who manage the various departments.
The Association receives some funding from the South-East Local Health Integration Network (SE-LHIN), and from the City of Kingston through purchase of service agreements. But most of its funds come from self-generated membership and activity fees, from sales of food, crafts and used books, from donations, and from various fundraising activities.
Background & Location
In 2011 we celebrated our 35th Anniversary of serving seniors in the Greater Kingston area. We are membership driven with over 5000 members - "seniors" of all ages. Since 2001 we have been located at 56 Francis Street in Portsmouth Village. We have program rooms, a computer lab, a woodworking shop, a restaurant, a cafe, a full-size gymnasium as well as a mini-gym.

Our members take part in over 100 different Programs throughout the year at The Centre including art and language classes, keyboarding, computer instruction, monthly dances, multicultural events, to name a few.
Many of our rooms are available to rent

We offer one day, multi-day and extended trips to Ontario, Quebec and beyond to members and friends.
We could not operate without the skills, support and hard work of more than 650 volunteers.
