Food Services Assistant
⦁ Train and develop of all Food Services volunteers under the direction of the Food Services Manager.
⦁ Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the various kitchen/café areas.
⦁ Assume responsibility for the complete kitchen operation in the absence of the Food Services Manager.
⦁ Prepare volunteer schedules for the kitchen/dining room/café, and monitor staffing levels in conjunction with determined needs.
⦁ Ensure consistent food preparation and maintain the highest calibre of food presentation.
⦁ Support Departments as required for Special Events and catering requests.
⦁ Minimum 5 years’ combined experience in the trade of cook
⦁ Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards.
⦁ Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or Chef in a high volume environment.
⦁ Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products.
⦁ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
⦁ Food Safe Certification.
⦁ Culinary Education Trade Papers, Red Seal or Equivalent an asset.
⦁ G Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
